In2Retail IAD's: Independent ATM Deployer.

In recent years, there has been an unseen development going on in the ATM industry. ATMs used to be ‘bank-owned’, but nowadays, they are increasingly being operated by Independent ATM Deployers.

This transition from banks to Independent ATM Deployers (IADs) is primarily intended to maintain the coverage of ATMs for consumers. In2Retail is an IAD that operates ATM's in the Netherlands. Our ATM's are mostly located in retail, catering, and hospitality businesses, as well as on the street. 

 

 


​Placing an ATM; The process.
 

- Step 1: Assessing the situation – You want to place one or more ATMs. After an inventory of your wishes, we visit you. We can then have an unbiased look at your situation. An ATM weighs between 500 and 1,000 kg, which means certain structural requirements apply. That is why we always start with an on-site inspection and floor inspection.

- Step 2: Determining the location – Determining the correct, most strategic location of the ATM of course depends on the situation. Common sense tells us that visibility of free access to the ATM is the starting point. Our consultant will advise you on site to help determine the optimal location from a structural and business perspective.

- Step 3: Selecting a machine – For most businesses, a lobby ATM best suits their needs. These machines only take up about one square metre (1 m2) of floor surface. For implementing wall ATMs, roughly two square metres (2m2) of floor surface is needed.

Generally speaking, placing a so-called lobby ATM does not require a building permit. If you choose an ‘in the wall version’, however, permits may be required. We fully relieve you from this process and take care of the required applications.

- Step 4: Selecting the security class and insurance – An ATM contains large amounts of cash, which is why it must meet certain security requirements. We also place ATMs at regular banks and know all the ins and outs in the field of security. In2Retail provides ATMs with different security classes: they can be equipped with, among other things, money cassettes with ink security, camera surveillance, gas detection (anti-ram raid protection), and other heavier security measures. Our ATMs are also secured via a proprietary security alarm system outside that of our customers. Together with your consultant, you choose the security class of the ATM(s) to be placed. This also determines the choice of insurance.

- Step 5: Confirming the contract – If you choose a normally secured ATM without advertising options, we will sign a full service contract with you. You will receive the ‘full package’ for this. We take care of everything for you, from installation to supply to maintenance and servicing. All you need to do is focus on your primary business activities.

- Step 6: Management and service – Where there is a lot of money, there are risks. In2Retail therefore consciously chooses to keep the entire ATM chain management in its own hands. This means we also coordinate the money supply. This allows us to ensure that you do not run unnecessary risks and we continue to meet regulatory requirements.

We monitor our ATM park remotely and in real time. We know when the money cassettes need to be refilled. Malfunctions or irregularities of individual ATMs can be detected immediately.

In2Retail coordinates the money supply and security in close cooperation with CIT (Cash in Transport) partners: money transporters. The contents of the safe (the money) falls under their responsibility, while the servicing and management is carried out by our own engineers.

With maintenance work to the ATM and especially in case of malfunctions, quickly and smoothly switching with our partners is a must. Thanks to our long-established relationships, we have easy access to the necessary systems and unexpected failure of the machines can be quickly resolved by our technicians.
